Forum: etree Subject: How do I derive the lossy formats for an updated file?

I had to update a file here:

http://www.archive.org/details/gpn2010-12-29.akg481.flac16

(track 13) so I deleted the file and uploaded the corrected one. How do I get the system to derive a new mp3 for the file and add it to the player on the page in the correct spot?

First, make sure you've deleted the old md5/ffp files (even if you didn't create them yourself, or else they'll mismatch). Then go to Edit item, click on the artist's palette, click "Item manager", and click the derive button. That should blow away the old derivatives and create new ones.
